Our main website is a location directory and company information site. We do not use contact or enquiry forms on this site. If you email or call us using the contact details displayed, we receive the information you choose to provide.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. We do not currently use analytics on the main hub site.
Golf cart rental request forms (Sherkston and Unity)
When you submit a golf cart reservation request at sherkston.birdiegolfcarts.com/rent-a-cart or unity.birdiegolfcarts.com/rent-a-cart, we collect the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Address line 1
- Address line 2 (optional)
- City or town
- State or province (if applicable)
- Postal or zip code
- Country
- Requested pickup date (date range)
On the Sherkston rental form, we also collect your cart selection (standard or limo cart) and your acknowledgement that all drivers must be over 25, must present a valid driver's licence, and that late returns may incur a fee as stated on that site.
These forms are reservation requests. Submitting a form does not confirm a booking. Our staff will contact you to confirm availability and finalize your reservation. See section 4 for additional information collected when a Unity Beach booking is confirmed.
Dealer contact forms (Port Colborne, Carleton Place, and Hamburg)
When you submit a contact form at pc.birdiegolfcarts.com/contact, cp.birdiegolfcarts.com/contact, or bp.birdiegolfcarts.com/contact, we collect:

Information collected automatically on location websites
Some of our location websites use third-party tools that may collect technical data:
- Google Analytics on Sherkston and Unity resort sites (usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information)
- Cloudflare Turnstile on the Sherkston rental form (bot protection; may process interaction data)
- Webflow form and session cookies necessary to operate forms and deliver submissions
4. Unity Beach (UK)
This section provides additional detail for customers using unity.birdiegolfcarts.com and golf cart rentals at Unity Beach, Burnham-on-Sea. It supplements the rest of this policy and applies in addition to it for UK users.
Information from your rental request
When you submit the Golf Cart Reservation Request Form, we collect the information listed in section 3, including your name, phone number, email address, full postal address, country, and requested pickup date.
Information collected when your booking is confirmed
After you submit a request, our staff contact you to confirm availability and complete your booking. At that stage we may also collect:
- Confirmed booking dates and reservation details
- Caravan pitch or on-site location details, where applicable
- Cart type selected (standard or limo)
- Payment information, including credit or debit card details required to secure and pay for your rental (we operate a cashless service at Unity Beach)
- Driver details, including confirmation that drivers meet age and licence requirements
- Any additional information you provide by phone, email, or in person at pickup
How we use your information at Unity Beach
We use your personal information to:
- Process and manage your rental request and confirmed booking
- Contact you about your reservation, including confirmation and pickup arrangements
- Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
- Process payments and manage deposits, balances, and refunds where applicable
- Coordinate with Unity Beach and Unity Holidays where necessary for your rental
- Meet legal, tax, and administrative requirements
We do not sell or rent your personal information.

For Unity Beach customers in the United Kingdom, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to take steps at your request before entering a rental agreement, and to perform that agreement once confirmed

Is providing your information required?
If you wish to request or confirm a golf cart rental at Unity Beach, you must provide the personal information we need to process your request and manage your booking — including contact details, address, booking dates, and payment information where a rental is confirmed. Without this information, we may not be able to process your request, confirm your reservation, or provide the rental service.
You are not required to provide optional information such as address line 2, but withholding required information may prevent us from completing your booking.

- Legitimate interests: Responding to dealer contact enquiries, operating and securing our websites, preventing abuse of our forms, and understanding how our resort sites are used through analytics. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
- Consent: Where required for non-essential cookies or analytics in the UK, or where you have given clear consent for a specific purpose. The Sherkston driver acknowledgement checkbox records your agreement to stated rental conditions; it is not used for marketing consent.
- Legal obligation: Where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

- Birdie Golf Carts staff at the location relevant to your enquiry or rental request
- Unity Holidays, where coordination is required for Unity Beach rentals (see section 4)

8. International transfers
Birdie Golf Carts is based in Canada. If you submit information from the United Kingdom, United States, or elsewhere, your information may be processed in Canada and by service providers in the United States or other countries where they operate.
Where UK GDPR requires safeguards for transfers outside the UK, we rely on appropriate mechanisms such as contractual protections with our service providers and organizational measures to protect your data.

Our websites are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Golf cart rentals require drivers to be at least 25 years old with a valid driver's licence, as stated on our resort rental pages.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including secure form hosting through Webflow, payment processing through established payment providers, and bot protection on selected forms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
